NYC Dancer With Allergy Dies After Eating Cookie With Undeclared Peanuts

Orla Baxendale was pursuing her dream of dancing professionally in New York when she died after eating a cookie. After eating a bite of the cookie, she went into immediate anaphylactic shock and died. Her family’s lawyer says Baxendale was vigilant over her peanut allergy and would search for ingredients on food packaging before eating. However, the vanilla florentine cookie she ate apparently did not list peanuts on the cookie's packaging. Inside Edition’s Jim Moret has more.
