Death of Russian Opposition Leader Alexei Navalny Causes International Outrage

There is outrage around the world today over news of the death of Alexei Navalny. The Russian lawyer and politician was one of Vladimir Putin’s most vocal opponents. Navalny cheated death more than once before he was imprisoned in Siberia. The 47-year-old’s death in a Russian prison camp has many fingers pointing to the Kremlin. U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris told reporters at the Munich Security Conference, “Whatever story they tell, let us be clear, Russia is responsible.”
