California’s Big Bear Valley ‘Love Bird’ Bald Eagles Wait for Eggs to Hatch

A pair of bald eagles in Southern California has legions of fans cheering them on, as they wait for their eggs to hatch. Jackie and Shadow make their home in Big Bear Valley of the San Bernardino Mountains. The pair has been trading off sitting on the eggs, guarding against harsh weather. “Jackie and Shadow are very entertaining,” said Sandy Steers, executive director of Friends of Big Bear Valley, adding “they're also very affectionate with each other and very respectful of each other.”
